Capital ideas for women’s radio and Internet TV

Thu 2011-Dec-1 @ +08 20:07:21 pm

Two new broadcasting stations both named Capital went on air this week: The Star’s Capital 88.9FM aimed at women, with mostly woman deejays and celebrity presenters. The other station, Capital TV, is an Internet television station available to Telekom’s Unifi high-speed broadband subscribers.

Capital TV is a business and finance channel produced for TM’s HyppTV package to attract more Unifi subscribers, reports The Star. News feeds will be taken from Bloomberg and Bernama. Capital TV content producer Online Dynamics (M) Sdn Bhd has 30 staff headed by editor-in-chief Pravin Kumar, formerly of Bernama.

Three Internet TV services will go on air next year from Maxis, new digital cable TV station ABN, and a new channel from YTL Communications.
