Group ‘can help determine who will form next government’
Hasan also outlined the prerequisites for the third force leaders, saying that they must be morally upright, do not indulge in adultery or flirt with young girls, do not engage in sodomy, are not corrupt or involved in criminal breach of trust and also did not abuse their power.

FORMER Pas Selangor commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali and like-minded people are set to form a third force which can offer the voters a new platform in national politics.
The maverick politician has been talking to several people on the possibility of creating a loose alliance which can have a bearing on the outcome of the next general election.
Hasan said this during the Soal Jawab programme hosted by Datuk Ahmad A. Talib on TV3 last night.
The programme also featured Datuk Aidit Ghazali, who is a consultant in Islamic management.
“There is always a possibility that the third force can help determine who will form the next government, in case the results are close,” Hasan said, when asked about such a scenario.
In this situation, Hasan said the third force would play a supplementary and complementary role, just like in Australia and the United Kingdom, which has a model third force.
“The third force arose because it was the people’s dream as they could analyse the current scenario in terms of benefits to themselves and also the nation.”
He also outlined the prerequisites for the third force leaders, saying that they must be morally upright, do not indulge in adultery or flirt with young girls, do not engage in sodomy, are not corrupt or involved in criminal breach of trust and also did not abuse their power.
He also added that they must have a good religious background and preferably young.
Hasan, who is also a former Selangor executive councillor, said it was vital for the third force leaders to be committed and they must interact with others.
The veteran politician was sacked from Pas earlier this month for breaching discipline when he openly criticised the party leaders.
Since then, Hasan had said he would not appeal his sacking and threw his support to setting up a third force to unite Malays and defend Islam while creating a viable alternative for Muslims tired of the current political status quo.
He also added that Malays would soon make up 65 per cent of the population and being the sizeable majority, they should show good characteristics to attract the non-Malays into the third force.
“Malays should be good, trustworthy, not greedy, selfless and see the larger picture if they want to be seen as projecting peace and harmony to all Malaysians.”
