Yes I do have something to say and I will say it loud and clear based on my own personal conscience without fear or favour. I am only one of the minority voices within the minority in UMNO politics since my involvement from 1963. Although I am not in the league of Tengku Razaleigh, I share the same vision with Ku Li but I do not simply criticise my YDP Agong, party leaders, my government and this beloved nation which had given me so much in my 69 years as a patriotic citizen.

I had given more than 34 years of my life back to national service as a party official and government officer since the mid 60s with distinction and recognition from the nation. I am proud of my small contribution to the nation. Contrary to those who had criticised me for my bloggings in the cyberspace, I have never received any special favours and financial benefits from the party or government. I vouch that my success and that of my children are all due to our own hard work and not through political patronage from the UMNO leaders and the government. UMNO/BN had given me nothing absolutely although I have walked together with them in the corridors of power in my capacity as a party and government senior officer for more than half of my life.

Today, we have a different political and social scenario and the BN government had paid dearly for their mistakes and wrong doings as we had witnessed the loss of 5 state governments in the 2008 general election. UMNO and their crony BN component parties had not learnt their lessons and until today, 2011, they are still in total denial of what the majority of the people wanted across the political divides.

Former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was given the opportunity to lead UMNO and the BN government, through the popular support he had garnered in the 2004 general election but he had failed the electorate and the people in particular. Thus we had lost heavily to the opposition pact led by Anwar Ibrahim as proven in the 2008 general election. Anwar together with his PR partners are in the final lap of their attempt to overthrow the BN government under the leadership of Najib Tun Razak as a political run up to the 13th general election.

However, Anwar is in a political siege as he had yet to emerge clean from his personal encounters in his current ongoing sodomy II trial beginning in early August. Anwar had diverted a lot of public attention to other issues that he had created in order to neutralise the people’s opinion about his dubious character that had badly affected his reputation and creditability as an opposition leader. By hook or by crook, Anwar wants to topple this government by force with all his unconventional strategies in order to capture Putrajaya and become the next prime minister of Malaysia.

Yesterday (Friday, 22 July), together with all peace loving Malaysians of all races, I had attended the launch of “Angkatan Amanah Merderka” held at the Tunku Memorial in Kuala Lumpur. I believe there were at least more than two thousand people in the audience who had attended the function, with or without invitation. The launch was an eye opener for us and the support from the audience was warm and spontaneous.

Amanah Merdeka is led by a Central Council comprised of Tengku Razaleigh the President, six prominent Deputy Presidents and seven Vice Presidents with a clear vision and mission in the name of unity and solidarity.

Although Amanah is politically motivated and inspired with some of the mixed former political leaders in the pro BN government party leadership from both West and East Malaysia, it is hoped that Amanah’s noble course to reignite the voice of unity, the spirit of the Constitution, the pledge of justice and lastly the freedom for true liberty, will not be hijacked by irresponsible politically infiltrated agents.

Amanah in its true form as a new NGO may change the political, economic and social landscape of the nation to be led by the next democratically elected government after the 13th general election.

Dato Haji Mustapha Ong was once private secretary to Information Minister Datuk Mohamad Rahmat and later in the diplomatic service. He is the father of Omar Ong of Ethos Consulting, a close adviser to the prime minister, Najib Tun Razak.
Mustapha Ong earned a spot of notoriety in the 1990s when it was alleged he had tried to bribe a New York taxi driver to state he had procured sex partners for Anwar Ibrahim; the taxi driver in turn lodged police reports against Mustapha Ong.

  1. It is without a doubt of what Mustapha said of lusty Anwar especially about his numerous tactics of trying to divert people’s attention to his sodomy trial. He also used many attempts to stop his old friends and foes from saying anything negative about his pasts by suing them for million of dollars knowing full well the final results of these litigations will take years to come. Hopefully by then he would have achieved his aspiration to become the P.M., he even told the grand father of all lies that he was going to overthrow the ruling government.
At the end like all lies that never happened and all the frogs were made to look very very stupid. The truth was he was for some years after his discharged from jail for the sodomy I
to be invited back to Umno , he under estimated the greed of his ex-colleagus in Umno. They too wanted to become the P.M. or should I say the gravy train and never extended him the invitation.
Then after some years of waiting he decided to take on the role of an opposition leader, making all sorts of empty promises, to entice the frogs, to jump onto his ship. But his lust for the man’s backside got the better of him when with the millions he made when he was in Umno especially when he was the DPM he made the stupid move to employ a useless bump to take the useless bump abroad to make him his daily cup of ‘coffee’. The daily cup of ‘coffee’ turns out to be his downfall and the end of the road is not too far and like a dying chicken who has been slaughtered will give his kicks the kicks of his life.
So as I have always advocated that Umno needs to be replaced but surely not with this lusty old man as the next P.M. or even the mad dog LKS as his deputy. We need men with integrity to lead us out of this bloody shamble led by the deceitful and corrupted men from Umno. The nation’s coffer is in deficit and is about to go bankrupt just like Greece but the deceitful and corrupted men from Umno are still taking from it even though it is with borrowed money. I might add that, without any regard to the consequences to the nation.
So wake up all Malaysians after decades of deceits and corruption vote these men from Umno out of business in the coming GE.

  2. The battle lines already drawn immediately after Sept 16, 2008. Those who decided not to stand up and be counted are already on the other side. There is nothing in between as fence sitters. Amanah or 3rd Force can come about after GE14 and DEFINITELY NOT BEFORE GE13. You either participate as BN or PR and any other candidates for GE13 are just BN’s rascals.

  3. He mentions Anwar needing to come clean vis a vis the current sodomy allegations, but forgets to state his own role in trying to frame the man in that New York taxi incident. It’s been an on-going charade, full of deceit and machination. This whole piece is yet another ploy. Stinking political garbage.

  4. Ku Li’s Amanah may be a guiding light for Malaysians BUT I doubt the credibility of this so-called patriot in the name of Mustapha Ong.

This shady guy will be the a spanner in the Amanah’s work if Amanah’s objective in fostering a corrupt-free Malaysia and race-based ideologies is to work.

Mustapha Ong was one of the lap-dogs of Mahathir and tried to “fix-up” the taxi driver in New York for a sum of money. This goes to show the character he is and his sudden appearance in support of Amanah is a suspect.

You can see through this shady character in “menfitnahkan” Anwar in his statements to the press. Is there a need for this ?

  5. As long as Kuli is still in UMNO, and Amanah membered by BN-rejects/dropouts like OTK and Subra, it will still be old wine in a new bottle. Kuli cannot sell. He is backward-looking. Why go back to Merdeka days? Why not Pre-WW2 or Pre-British or Pre-Malaka? As far as our young generation is concerned, we have already achieved “perpaduan” (just look at Bersih Day). What we look for now is a forward-looking leader who can stamp out corruptions and provide accountability. Perhaps Amanah can start its act by countering every move of Perkasa the Pemecah-Perpaduan.

  6. Boy, oh boy, good try, Mustafa Ong. Having failed in the earlier umno plan to have Perkasa do the dirty work for umno with objective of drawing pas and pkr supporters to umno in the name of race, religion, nep, ketuanan melayu, blah, blah , blah, and having found that this is backfiring on umno, old umno hands, not with any clean record themselves( remember BMF where a Malay audit officer was murdered ) trying their hand at a NGO , probably turning political towards GE13, to attract umno lost cause of at tracking Malays from pas n pkr. After elections, horse trading and unification in the context of Malay unity to form a bigger umno, with perhaps TRH finally crowned PM , something seen by umno as better than the prospect of seeing DSAI as PM!!! Not entirely impossible given the situation umno has brought upon itself. Umno is clueless and so throwing whatever it can , even kill DSAI if that is what it takes?
No, Mustafa Ong, we do not buy your story. Where were you when umno was doing all these things to arrive at where they are now, as you yourself say? It took 30years of hard umno work to arrive here and now. And you say you gave 34 glorious years of your service to the country ? Without good pay? Done free? I know thousands who do free service and they do not publicly claim what you are claiming. You stayed quiet when um o pilfered the treasury, bastardized all govt institutions , even during your time in civil service, in fact you were part of it, isn’t it? Stop your bullshit mustafa ong. You were one of the umnoputras swallowing the bum wealth and yet call it public service . Atrocious. You might as well keep quiet. If TRH couldn’t reform umno while in umno or while he was Semanagat46, he can’t possibly achieve anything. The people are serious and they are no about to consider umno oldies with suspect personal records to sneak umno in behind doors and repaet history of the past 50 odd years.

  7. So you , mustafa ong was the one an American cabby informed media in an interview as having tried to pay him off handsomely to confess that DSAi had sex with? Oh dear shit, so that is why you are saying the umno govt did not reward you because you failed in your mission to provide the sodomy puzzle that umno had been and still is conniving against DSAI. Do you have a concience , mustafa ong? If Angakan is stuffed with elements like you, it might as well disintegrate . Because , We do not see any individuals of any repute in Angkatan, all spent and dubious characters who had been aping for ‘apa nam a dia , mahathir’ .

  8. I should have added this: it is telling that a New York taxi-cab driver had a whole lot more integrity, decency and honesty in him than this sad excuse of a human being who’s still trying to blight Anwar’s name.

I don’t care if Anwar is guilty of sodomy or not, his sexual proclivities are his own business. But it is gutter politics of the most unscrupulous, despicable kind to try smear an opponent the way they have been going about this.

This will never end because they don’t have the scruples of a New York cab driver. You cannot expect anything better from these blokes because the very reason for their existence has to do with plundering the national coffers. As long as Anwar can marshal the forces to kick out the present kleptocracy, he will have my vote.

  9. Much like the launching of the various Amanah Saham….etc. This Amanah also smell of something fishy, out to mengkaburkan mata orang for the sake of the kleptocrats.

  10. Amanah is a new smoke screen set up by UMNO because Perkasa failed. They got KULI to head this to bring so-called credibility to the movement.

Everyone, please use your heart to think!!! Please do not be fooled.

KULI is still an UMMO member. He has never chosen to leave no matter how much shit they threw at him. He even agreed to lead UMNO in a previous by-election. He is just a loyal old UMNO lap dog who still lives in the past.

Too harsh on him? Say that to me again, when BN retain the government in GE13 because Amanah and Razaleigh split the opposition’s votes.

  11. one thing i learn of the malaysian dream is that there’s a particular race who would sell their soul or mother for a dime to the devil……the UMNOPUTRAS…such low down filth…makes me wanna puke….and this includes this shit head mustapha ong…

  12. GE 13. The Election Commission held by the throat and told to get on with election reforms – all 8 of them before the GE.

The sooner that GE13 comes the better. It will wash all these opportunities down the sluice hole. Hey that Kerala ex-PM is awfully quiet. Ay, HE is using lap dogs like Mathias Chong, Mustapha Ong and Marina Mahathir…notice their names all start with the latter M ?

  13. Mustapha, you try to pretend to be objective, but by inserting a flawed section on Anwar, you appear to be trying again to smear Anwar based on concocted evidence, so your whole article falls apart based on flawed logic. Better luck next time…

  14. HOW IS Amanah,an NGO formed by prominantly UMNO and other BN party has been going to do anything, when the young nation wants transparency, accountability in politics and just justice, neutral SPR that does its job without favour or fear. You have had 50 years, but failed to do anything at all, now that the young voters demand all this, Is Amanah in sync with today’s world.

  15. Let not one man judge another man’s character – you yourself will be judged. And from what has been written and said, you are not without sin yourself, so why point your finger at another man.

I don’t understand why the UMNO leaders and the old generation still don’t get it that after GE13, not all Malaysians want Anwar to be our PM. Nor anyone of his ex-Umno time who are now in PKR. They do not have to fear Anwar. Also, not all Malaysians believe him to be the best role model – they give him the benefit of the doubt. In fact, he got what came to him with the ketaks – since he was the one who started it. Don’t count your eggs before they are hatched is what the English say.

First and most important of all, let us support Amanah and Bersih 2 to help us clean up the EC and implement new rules and regulations for the Election process as recommended by Bersih 2 leaders. Of utmost importance, is to introduce the indelible ink. Then we want our voting areas to be re-drawn i.e. we don’t want (500,000 to vote for one MP) by abolishing the gerry-mandering boundaries set up during Dr Mahathir’s 22 years iron grip. We want International NGOs and representatives to be present to watch that there is no sly underhand tricks. Opposition and incumbent representatives should also be allowed.

By the way, Mustapha, we know that there are good and bad leaders in all parties but the current batch in UMNO takes the cream. One ponders what your tune would be if you were a Minister.
